Whether you're popping to the Post Office and the bank or grabbing a bite to eat before going to The Haymarket Theatre or The Willis Museum, visiting the Top of the Town couldn't be easier.

Positioned in the heart of Basingstoke town centre just off Junction 6 of the M3, the area is in an excellent location with a range of car parks, bus stops and the railway station nearby.

Free parking for one hour is available in all short stay car parks owned by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council between 8am and 6pm. A number of these car parks are within close proximity to the Top of the Town including:

If you are planning on staying a little longer, there are 10 other council-owned long stay car parks dotted across the town centre. See the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council website for more information on town centre car parks and blue badge parking.

Alternatively, there are also spaces available at Festival Place and Basingstoke train station.

Public transport

The Top of the Town is well connected by public transport and is just a short walk away from Basingstoke's railway and bus stations.

Most local bus services are provided by Stagecoach. There is a also a Centre Shuttle bus service.

Rail services are provided by South Western Railway, First Great Western and Cross Country.

If you're cycling to the town centre, there are a number of cycle routes and cycle parking points available.
